Celebrate Community Spirit and Pride with Exciting Events and a Spectacular Drone Show |
Charlestown is set to host its annual Community Days Festival on September 19 and 20, 2025, promising a vibrant celebration of local culture, music, and community spirit.
The festivities kick off on Friday, September 19, with a Tailgate Party at Ensembles, located at 1120 Monroe Street. From 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, attendees can enjoy live music by Robin Embry, setting the stage for the evening's highlight—a high school football game between Charlestown High School and Providence at 7:00 PM.
Saturday, September 20, transforms the City Square at Main and Main Cross Streets into a bustling hub of activity. Starting at 11:00 AM, a diverse array of vendors and food trucks will open their booths, offering everything from local crafts to delectable treats. Notable food vendors include Aunt Jeanetta's Funnel Cakes, Charlestown VFW Post 1427, Pups & Cups, and Taqueria Hernandez.
Families will find plenty to engage in, with the Kids Corner operating from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This area features bounce houses, an obstacle course, the Gamerz Truck, and various yard games, ensuring entertainment for children of all ages.
Music enthusiasts are in for a treat with a lineup of live performances throughout the day:
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Arianna & The Bourbon Britches
1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: The Swerve
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: The Brass Pack
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Van Waylon
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Ron Miller and the Roadhouse Roosters
The evening culminates in a breathtaking Drone Show at 9:00 PM, illuminating the Charlestown sky with a dazzling display. Following the show, the Jason Lee McKinney Band takes the stage from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, closing the festival on a high note.
Additional Saturday events include a Jump Rope Contest at 12:00 PM for ages 6-18, a Pedal Tractor Pull at 4:00 PM for children aged 4-8, and the whimsical "Charles Look-A-Like Contest" at 8:45 PM, inviting participants to dress as their favorite "Charles" in honor of Charlestown.
This family-friendly event is free to attend. Complimentary golf cart shuttles will be available to assist visitors to the venue, and wheelchair-accessible parking is provided in the LifeSpring Health Systems parking lot.
