Clarksville's Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Set for September 12 |
Community Invited to Support Local First Responders and Save Lives |
Clarksville residents, mark your calendars for an event that combines community spirit with lifesaving generosity.
The Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is scheduled for September 12 at the Clarksville Community Center, located at 2311 Sam Gwin Drive, directly across from Sam’s Club.
This event offers a unique opportunity to support the American Red Cross, contribute to saving lives within the community, and show appreciation for local police and fire departments.
Participants can cast their vote for their preferred department, adding a friendly competitive edge to the drive.
To schedule a donation, visit RedCrossBlood.org and use sponsor code BOBClarksville, or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
In recent years, the Battle of the Badges has become a cherished tradition in Clarksville.
For instance, in June 2022, the event saw the Clarksville Police Department triumph with 42 donations, while the Fire Department garnered 20.
Such friendly rivalries not only boost community engagement but also significantly contribute to maintaining a robust blood supply.
Given that every two seconds someone in the U.S. requires blood, events like these are crucial.
Beyond the blood drive, Clarksville has been bustling with activity.
The town recently announced the 'Good Times' Summer Concert Series, aiming to bring residents together through music and entertainment.
Additionally, family-owned companies are introducing smaller, more affordable homes to the area, addressing the growing demand for housing.
These developments underscore Clarksville's commitment to fostering a vibrant and supportive community.
By participating in the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, residents not only support their local first responders but also play a direct role in saving lives.
It's a win-win for everyone involved. |
