New Two-Year Agreement Elevates Educator Salaries and Benefits |
Greater Clark County Schools (GCCS) has finalized a new two-year agreement with the Greater Clark Education Association, introducing substantial salary increases for educators.
Effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, the agreement includes:
Year 1: A $2,000 base salary increase, raising entry-level pay to $52,000.
Year 2: A $1,500 salary level increase, contingent upon eligibility as outlined in the contract.
Salary Cap: Teacher salaries will be capped at $90,000 for the duration of the contract.
Additional benefits encompass a $500 annual contribution to eligible teachers' Health Savings Accounts and a $200 base increase for teachers with a Literacy Endorsement.
Superintendent Mark Laughner emphasized the district's commitment to supporting educators and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
GCCS Board President Irene Bustamante Adams highlighted the importance of these raises in attracting and retaining top talent.
