White Flag Shelter Open Tonight Amidst Freezing Temperatures |
Emergency Shelter Available in New Albany as Cold Snap Continues |
The White Flag Shelter will be open tonight, Thursday, December 11, starting at 7 PM, providing a warm refuge for those in need as temperatures are expected to drop below 35 degrees.
Looking ahead, the shelter will also be open on December 12, 13, 14, and 15, ensuring continuous support during this cold spell.
Operated by the Homeless Coalition of Southern Indiana in partnership with the Nomad Church Collective, the White Flag Shelter offers overnight accommodations from 7 PM to 7 AM whenever evening temperatures fall below 35 degrees.
The shelter operates from November 15 to April 15 each year, providing critical support during the harsh winter months.
Located at 4007 Grant Line Road in the gym of Culbertson Baptist Church, the shelter is easily accessible for those seeking warmth and safety.
