Charlestown is seeing a boost for its youth community as a $4,500 grant from the Rotary Club of Clark County is set to fund a new performance stage at The Depot in the Family Activities Park.
Club President David Seckman delivered the grant, supporting young musicians who have made The Depot a creative hub since its 2024 opening.
This dedicated stage will offer local talent a professional space to shine during summer and Christmas showcases, encouraging more vibrant performances.
Rotary Club District 6580’s efforts reflect a deep commitment to fostering safe, dynamic spaces for youth engagement and development.

Bicknell Park in New Albany will soon undergo major upgrades, as construction begins Monday, September 15th.
Improvements feature a new basketball court, modern pickleball courts, and a revitalized gazebo, relocated for even better park enjoyment.
Despite construction, Bicknell Park will remain open, though visitors should stay alert while crews are at work over the next several weeks.
These enhancements are part of New Albany’s broader effort to enrich community spaces and offer fresh recreational opportunities.

Meta has awarded $150,000 to Jeffersonville’s Maker13 and Youth Link Southern Indiana, aiming to enrich STEAM education and spur entrepreneurship locally.
Mayor Mike Moore praised the grant’s ripple effect, highlighting new opportunities for local students and expressing gratitude for support from Meta and its Data Center.
This investment aligns with Meta’s $800 million data center project, set to open in 2026 with 100 permanent jobs and 1,250 peak construction positions.
The city’s momentum continues: the Our Southern Indiana Regional Development Authority recently allocated over $3.6 million to boost childcare and regional growth.
Adding to this, June saw the launch of Springdale Meadow, with 10 new homes coming this fall starting at $260,000, addressing Jeffersonville’s housing needs.
