Southern Indiana is rich with organizations committed to fighting hunger and supporting neighbors in need.

Across Clark and Floyd counties, a network of food pantries, meal programs, and faith-based centers deliver vital resources daily.

Key local sites include Catalyst Rescue Mission, Center for Lay Ministries, and Community Kitchen in Jeffersonville, alongside the Salvation Army in both Clarksville and New Albany.

Other trusted providers such as Faith Harvest in Greenville, St. Luke’s Loaves & Fishes, and Hope Southern Indiana ensure residents across the region have access to meals and essentials, often with expanded hours or special weekend service.

Community members are encouraged to share information about other food relief efforts for inclusion.

Uniting volunteers and agencies, these efforts help nourish local families and strengthen the fabric of Southern Indiana—one meal at a time.

Jeffersonville has celebrated three exceptional individuals by adding them to the Home of Champions Wall at Big Four Station Park.

Mayor Mike Moore and city leaders recognized the achievements of the 2025 Jeffersonville High School Boys’ Basketball Team, Coach Sherron Wilkerson, and the late Dr. Gordon Gutmann.

The basketball team’s remarkable victory in the 2025 state championship—a nail-biting 67-66 overtime win over top-ranked Fishers—marked only the second title in school history.

Guided by Wilkerson, a local legend who won state as both player and coach, the Red Devils capped the season on an astounding 18-game winning streak.

Dr. Gutmann’s four-decade service at Clark Memorial Hospital left a lasting legacy of compassion and excellence.

This tribute wall honors the remarkable spirit powering Jeffersonville’s past and present.
