New Albany has unveiled its refreshed Comprehensive Plan, setting a bold direction for growth and development over the next 20 years.
Mayor Jeff Gahan spotlights the city’s push to expand access to affordable single-family homes, reinforcing New Albany’s ambition to be the region’s top choice for families.
The plan strikes a balance between preserving historic character and supporting new investment.
One standout project, The Oxbow, broke ground in March 2025, bringing 43 upscale apartments with sweeping Ohio River views to Main Street.
In line with these goals, officials have paused new multi-family housing and short-term rental permits, allowing a careful update to zoning codes to foster homeownership and market stability.
Ongoing economic revitalization efforts continue to attract business investment and expand job opportunities.
Residents are invited to share input on the draft plan and shape New Albany’s vibrant, sustainable future together. Read More... |
